Here is the picture that I am going to use for my magazine front cover, I really liked the picture and thought it had a real rock look to it. As you can see I have modified the picture to look more effective and professional looking. I have changed the picture so that the skin is in black and white and the guitar and clothes of the boys are in colour, also if you have noticed, i have changed the colour of the middle persons top from white to blue to make it look more eye catching. I did this by using the Polygonal lasso tool to select the parts i wanted to be in black and white and then the parts i wanted in colour, i also slightly changed the contrast and lighting curves to make it look how i wanted. Another tool that i used a lot was the spot healing tool, this was to get rid of any unwanted spots or marks on the boys faces and made them look better and more professional looking. I really like the effect of the black and white skin and coloured clothes and guitar, i think it is eye catching and looks really good.
